Do you plan for the “unexpected” in your life?

Mindset #10 – Do you plan for the “unexpected” in your life?
In the beginning…
When we set off on our fitness journey we are filled with enthusiasm , optimism and energy to get started to achieve the thing we want.
Soon after…
About 4 weeks of your fitness journey you will experience bumps in the road that can throw off your workout routine, your schedule and if your planning skills are lacking you may fall into the trap of letting other life events dictate your schedule.
Then…
It becomes easy to put more pressing “emergency” type events ahead of your workout routine. The justifying voice in your head will say things like
“Ah man, im so busy at work, im having an “out of the ordinary week” and there’s nothing I can do to workout – il pick back up next week. “
This so-called “Out of the ordinary week” is something we can plan for and make adjustments. Because once you start to be proactive and plan ahead you start to realize that your going to have alot of “out of the ordinary weeks’ ‘ and if you only worked out during the “ordinary weeks’ ‘ then you never get into shape!
Solution…
If you under commit to how many days per week you want to train you can still keep your weekly workout streak going even during the “Out of ordinary weeks”.
One of the first things I like to do with my clients is plan ahead for the expected and unexpected events.
Planning Ahead Exercise:
Let’s look ahead – next 3 months and see what events are expected and unexpected.

- Family Parties, weddings, dinners
- Social Events
- Sporting events
