How you spent the other hours of the day outside the gym is what is going to determine your posture. Your body listens to how you stand, how you sit, and how you move. So if your working out for 1 hour a day and your workouts includes various movements that challenge your body in different positions and you are mindful of how you are moving then your body can start to make adaptations to what is happening.


But is training just 1 hour a day enough to make long lasting change?


See here lies the challenge. If there is 16 hours of waking day and you are only training for 1 hour then what is happening the other 15 hours of the day?


How are you standing in conversation?

How are you standing in line at the store?

How are you standing inside your home?


If you are forgetting everything you are learning at the gym and reverting back to your bad habits of

Slouching ,

forward head posture,

head down on phone,

butt sticks out,

belly sticks out and

feet are waddling out. like a duck.

These are all inefficient stances that can lead to overuse injuries down the road because your body is developing compensatory movement patterns. Meaning your body is adapting to what’s happening.
